Early in the morning you can enjoy the view of the Obertauern valley. That’s how every day should begin! Take your time. And then after a hearty breakfast at Berghotel Sonnhof, you can set out for the slopes, right from our doorstep.
When you enter the breakfast room, the aroma of coffee, tea and fresh rolls will greet you. At our breakfast buffet our guests can design their own breakfast individually, choosing what they like from our lavish buffet. You won’t be disappointed.
Our guests can look forward to a wide assortment of savoury and sweet delicacies. Choose from various hard and soft cheeses, or go for the goat cheese and dairy cheeses. We make sure that our bacon and sausages come from the region. We can promise you that breakfast will be a special treat.
You can choose your favourite tea from a wide selection. You can also help yourself to Coffee, cappuccino, cafe latte or espresso from the coffee machine at the breakfast buffet. Along with dairy milk from humanely raised cows in the region, we also offer soy milk.
Daily vitamin bomb
Regional, homemade, fresh products have special importance at our hotel in Obertauern. Our fruit and vegetable press is a real treat that we provide for our guests. Drink your daily vitamin juice made from organic apples, carrots, oranges and ginger – and all geared to your own taste.
Equally popular with our guests in Obertauern are our freshly prepared egg dishes, cooked order. Try our scrambled eggs or eggs sunnyside up, with bacon and ham, or you can go for one of our delicious omelettes, cooked to order of course. This will be an energy-filled kickstart for you day of skiing on the slopes in Obertauern.
Breakfast breads on offer are sweet milk bread (Milchzopf), pastries, brown bread and wholemeal bread
A selection of jams along with diet marmalades, spreads and snacks round out our extensive breakfast menu. Fresh fruit salad, homemade muesli, sliced fresh fruit and vegetables, organic apple juice from local farmers in Eastern Styria and our delicious honey from the biosphere park Lungau give the finishing touch to the healthy corner of our breakfast buffet.
Our breakfast buffet is served daily from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. If you need some extra nourishment before you set out for home on Saturday, breakfast will be available from 6:45 a.m.
